Les Kennedy offers plan to assess global risks: The Daily Targum (11/16/10)

 

 

Eric Piza, Joel Caplan, and Les Kennedy were awarded an NIJ grant for a project entitled" "Detection of crime, resource deployment, and predictors of success: A multi-level analysis of CCTV in Newark, NJ" (posted Oct. 2010)

 

 

RCPS Associate and Newark PD GIS Specialist Eric Piza will be teaching a 5-day hands-on "Crime Mapping and Analysis" training workshop at Rutgers-Newark, with certification provided by the International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA) from Nov. 8 to Nov. 12, 2010. Joel Caplan was awarded a $20,000 grant from the Rutgers Academic Excellence Fund to begin a research project entitled “Inmates with Severe Mental Illness: Institutional Behavior, Chances for Parole and Supervision Needs in the Community.”    

 

 

Les Kennedy and Erin van Brunschot presented at the

International Studies Association presentation @ New Orleans, LA on “Contrasting Approaches to Terrorism: A Multi-national Comparison”

 

 

RCPS was co-sponsor of the Symposium on Searching for a Common Methodology for the Study of Emergent Threats on March 18-19, 2010.  Papers prepared for the conference are available in our publication page.
